Channel 4's 'Faking It'

Scientist to Magician
Channel 4’s Faking It has tried to turn a radiographer into a fashion photographer and an insurance salesman into a stunt-man. The contestants have four weeks to learn a new trade before trying to fool a panel of expert judges into thinking they are professionals.
But few have made their experience a career- changing one. Kevin McMahon did. After his time in the make believe world of television he chucked in his life as a PhD researcher and declared: “I’m going to be a magician.”
Kevin is the most successful faker the show has ever seen; not only did he convince a panel of judges into believing he was a professional magician but he also fooled the world famous Paul Daniels with his sneaky slight-of-hand!
